Actually, duct tape stays in place better with some zip ties clamping it down... but there isn't an option for that.

Gaffer's tape PWNS Duct Tape. And zip ties rule them all.

I voted zip-ties, but a comment about Duct tape. Even duct workers don't use the gray junk from the hardware store; they use the silver metallic tape that can hold up for years and grips better. If you need a fabric tape use Gaffer's Tape; sticks good and comes off clean. Difficult to find locallly, so you'll probably have to mail order it.
