If the next Brent Weeks book came out in hardcover, would you buy it?

Nah, I'd wait for the paperback.

Yes, definitely.

If it were in the bargain rack, and had a great cover, and a cute salesperson came over and told me how great it was and tucked her/his phone number between the pages... maybe.

What is this "Brent Weeks" you speak of?

The only reason I would get it in paperback is because I got the Night Angel Trilogy in paperback. I'm kind of @n@l about having the same format of books... Mixing hardcover and softcover = no good...

I would rather have it in hardcover. Since paperback bents and causes a lot of problems for a person like me who like the cover to stay flat even after 90(+) hours of reading....

I’m trying to find out how to email B Weeks. I am 184 pages into book 2 (Edge) and before I went to the Barnes and Noble web site and let other reader know how bored I am with this book, I thought to give Weeks a heads-up. 1st book was good. This second book took a significant dive, and I doubt that I will finish it. Did you suddenly decide, after the first book, your readership was adolescent?

Solomon Town, that is probably the biggest mistake you could ever make in your life, no joke. Book 2 is definitely not as good as the other two books, especially the third (and how will you understand that if you don't finish the second?!) Give it a chance, no great work can be great without "worldbuilding" and Brent Weeks is a master right from the start. Keep Reading! If, by the end of the second, you still wish to proceed no further, you are a hopeless cause and should kill yourself

Guess I'm in the minority here, but I really enjoyed the books. I want the Night Angel Trilogy in hard back.

Solomon, Book 3 is fantastic. Book 2 was slightly slower than book 1, but all in all, it is a fantastic trilogy. You'd be shooting yourself in the foot for not finishing.

Zyzyx, Night Angel is available in Omnibus format which I *believe* is hardcover. I ordered mine already, so I should be able to confirm that soon.

okay, Solomon I think that you should read the whole book before making comments, but guys you shouldn't tell people to kill themslves. It just makes you look like a prick

I <3 this series. I'm going out to buy the second today actually. :P I wouldn't get a book in hardcover simply because I don't like them. ): Too clunky for me, and all my books are paperback. I do hope you write lots more though. :]

My boyfriend and I bought all three books in paperback and I'm almost done with the second one. Paperback turns ugly too easily so we're buying them in hardcover so we can read them as often as we'd like and they wont get destroyed. These are by far the best books I've ever read :)

I'd rather read them in paperback format, but I would like to have them in hardcover just for my collection.

hehe... hardcover all the way!! Imagine what a hardcover first edition of this set will be worth in 20 years' time... priceless..

But I must say that a cute sales assistant WOULD encourage me to purchase ;)

Also for all of you who haven't, please flip to the back of book 1 and read the acknowledgements.. just hilarious.. I'm a faithful acknowledgement reader and this one is solid gold!!

Excellent books, i couldn't put them down!! I'm a big fan of sword and sorcery novels and for me these books are right up there at the top of all i've read previously! Kylar and Durzo are the mutz nutz.

I prefer paperback. Hardcover are just too big for me to carry around easily and, since I do most of my reading away from home, I like the relatively smaller paperbacks. The omnibus did look very pretty though... Gah! Don't tempt me!

Just to put my two cents in. I voted to wait for paperback, but only because I so dislike reading hardcovers. However, if I were to buy a hardback book, it would be a book from Brent Weeks

Brent ..... foot + publishers ass = hardcover.

not online poll + polite request from your agent = hardcover.

dude, kick some ass and get it done!

when i moved i left my copies in storage but now i wanna re-read them, a nice boxed set of all three in hardcover sound like a nice "everyone else's presents are gonna suck so I'll buy this for my self now" gift.

I would definitely do it, but I would most definitely fight for the cute sales person's phone number before I gave in!
