The Opening Day Parade and Float contest have been around a long time. Is it time for a change?

Keep the Parade and I love to see the floats!

I love the Parade but I could do without the floats!

Let's just play baseball!

Love it all, but would like a later start time. Meeting at 7am is just ridiculously early, especially for someone like me who has other children to deal with in the morning. 8 am should be the earliest that we should be meeting, with more like 9 am start. Plus it lets those who live on the parade route sleep a little later! Just my thoughts...

The float party, float parade, opening day ceremonies plus all of the games can be a bit much. Maybe opening day plus some exhibition games would be a good idea.

If the parade started a little later their would be more community interest, I'm all for extending the parade route to venture more throughout the neighbourhood but starting around 9AM or later. Most people along the route are still asleep at it's current time. I also agree with Coach Todd that they should shorten each game to a couple of innings and call it an exhibition. Let's drop the competition part of the float contest, just have fun and Play Ball!!

the float is fine, but could do w/o the competition, think it's gotten out of hand
