How often do you change your lancet?

I don't understand why people don't change their lancets, my doc and nurse both told me that it is necessary to change it everytime I test. I guess it just matters if you have enough to get you through.

I use to change my lancet once in a blue moon too. Our fingers get the most abuse. After realing how each poke dulls the tip and inflicts a more jagered poke I decided to change out my lancet each time...like I do my needles....sometimes we reuse to save money ...often you can ask doctors for samples and check with walmart for their generic brand [when money is tight].
