I have to agree with the previous post, BidWilly.com has been expanding job growth in a downturn economy in Central Florida with a service that allows you to choose service providers based on quality service and low-cost savings. I'm a contractor and this has help my lawncare company to grow and reach an audience I was unable to reach before. I can see a lot of monetary growth as it continues to expand.

For this article to be taken seriously and not look so biased Myspace should have been mentioned. Apple, as admitted in the article is not a social media company though was included, but not Myspace. The previous leader in the social site set, just a few months removed if that and the one that is still the money king where these sites are concerned, but they don't get a mention. That is either very poor journalism, or wishful thinking and unadulterated bias.
I think monetization will come from startups such as BidWilly.com. They have found a way to leverage social sites in order to build relationships between consumers and service providers when conducting business. I also love their strategy around open-bidding as it gives consumers the power to do more with less while providing an inexpensive way for service providers to reach prospective consumers.
