I think you may want to explain what a grid is to folks with something next to it like (css grid templating tools) etc
for example grids are vital methodology for contemporary web design and it only had 6% feedback but your layouts, workflow and Interface Design were between 10 and 13% I am not sure that everyone knows what a grid is and I would hate to miss this in your book...
tsk tsk... the woes of multi-tasking. I already forgot what I voted for. But it's definitely not how to code/program. There are too many web tutorials for that already!
What I expect from a smashingmag-book is a high-quality print of articles time-tested principles (probably in UI design and branding) that will have the basic principles I can use one, five, or more years from now.
Case studies can also come in handy. IF the writeup is as well-written as your regular content, it'd be such an improvement over the other books I've read.
I just hope this book gets released on my richer-than-normal days. Otherwise what's the point of being excited on something I couldn't have? =P
Learning from Experts is a good topic, but boring sometimes. We need good samples and tendencies. See well done structure is better sometimes that read 1500 words teaching you how to do one.

"Learning from experts"? If we don't choose this option, you'll fill the book with opinions from people who don't know what they're talking about? Ahh yes, the first version of the 'advanced PHP' tutorial is waiting in the wings...

I would agree with Chris. Case studies is as much as interesting compare to other topic. It help a lot when you stuck and need some guidance with your design and business.

We always want to learn more, UI, layout, grids will be fine to fill the book.
Case studies are most interesting. Not easy to find on www and a good basis for arguing from a business viewpoint.
learning, learning & learning
