Sugar, HFCS or neither? Do You Avoid HFCS?

I don't personally have enough data to say either way. However, I do know that sucrose (table sugar or plain white sugar) is more complex (disaccharide) in comparision to HFCS ( a mixture of monosaccharides:glucose and fructose).

I try to avoid both, and use either local honey or maple syrup. If I have to buy something processed (still not making my own bread, for instance), I go for sugar. On a weight-loss diet, tell yourself not to buy anything with HFCS, and you'll probably lose weight, since it's in so much stuff - even soups!

I prefer Stevia, though to get it white it must be processed. After that, I use rapadura and maple syrup for baking. Corn syrup, how I used to love it! Remember popcorn balls with Karo syrup?
