Green is a popular fad. There is a part of each one of us who feels an uneasy sense of guilt about a lot of things. Unfortunately, following a new sort of religion that is focused on only taking care of things to the exclusion of taking care of people or eternal spiritual issues is essentially a form of idolatry. There are more intense descriptions for the following of animism, plant spirits, mountain spirits, sea spirits, and most of them end up performing some sort of sacrificing a virgin to a volcano in the end. If we actually wanted to resolve the green conundrum, we could have started funding fusion research. 3 Mile Island gave nuclear power a bad name and funding was killed. (Remember Back to the Future? The care was powered by Fusion energy.) This green focus has become an excuse to put the earth before people and intention above common sense and accomplishment. By the way, look up WICCA and compare those beliefs to the green movement. You will see how similiar they are. We think we are so sophisticated, but we are only reliving past ignorant beliefs with new information that negates them while ignoring the information.
