Their "golden parachutes" were NOT earned. These people have elevated
themselves to such a high level above the rest of the employess that they
seemingly have become out of touch with reality. Life should not be a constant bonus for all top executives. The really successful executive works with people----not against the people. Profit sharing in the company would
be more reasonable.
A day's work is normal for most decent folks.
The American Dream is one thing-----these multi-million dollar bonuses are
totally unrealistic. Are there audits performed at AIG?
There is absolutely NO excuse for the extravagant vacations for the top
executives when many of the employees have lost their jobs. This is not
illustrative of the "American Dream". This is more like a Ponzi scheme-Medoff,
etc., and I am personally sick of it.
Not only should AIG execs give back their bonsus, but the Congress and President shouldn't except their recent pay raises in light of the economy being what it is.
