American Beauty is worse than anything on this list.
No doubt it was "The English Patient." The movie was Titanically Boring, Crashed, and had no Beauty, American or otherwise.

I do not understand the inclusion of "Rocky" and "Chariots of Fire" on this list, or the absence of "Terms of Endearment." And I don't know how anyone could vote for anything other than "American Beauty," which is not only high on the list of "worst best pictures," it's high on the list of "worst pictures, period."
Shakespeare in Love is, by any standards, a brilliantly conceived and produced picture. I fail to understand how anyone but and intellectual pigmy would not find this film vastly entertaining.
"The English Patient" is by far the worst movie on the list. The characters were shallow and the storyline was boring. The only good thing about the movie was the musical score.
How can Chariots of Fire be on this list. It's a wonderful movie?
Voted "Other" because there was no "All of the Above" button to push. To be fair, I did like "Crash," but I'm not sure it was the best of the year. Love the poll!
How could it be anything other than Titanic? The acting was terrible, the dialog and behavior of the actors was totally historically inaccurate...and I could go on.
I watched Titanic once, I was kinda forced too at the time, and I started contemplating suicide and looking for a sharp object less than halfway through.
Some on the list I actually liked, others I never saw, and how can Rocky even be on the list?!?
But Titanic is the only one on the list that would cause me to toss myself out of a window from a very tall building instead of watching it again.
Hell, just remembering the experience of watching it once is beginning to make me depressed.
