Howard Dean was off the radar for quite some time........Out of site, out of mind. If Steele can out $ raise $ the rest and keep off the talking points, then consider keeping him.

Steele is not a conservative! He does not reflect how the majority of conservative Republicans feel about the future direction of the Republican Party. He may be interesting to talk to over a cup of coffee, but to stand up and be the anchor of the Republican Party.....he is not my choice, and not the choice of many Republicans. We need a conservative Republican who can think fast on his feet and be sharp witted. A conservative Republican who is strong, confident, and unbending. A man who can take criticism and give it right back!

Just when we neen leadership we get Mr. Steele. If you can't stand up to the media and give the right answer the first time, you are not the one. Where is the stratigy for the elections in 2010. We can't afford to let this drag out, can him now. He has revealed who he is and he can't change over night. CAN HIM. CAN HIM. CAN HIM!!!!!!

He's RNC chairman, not a spokesman for the party. Why does it matter if he stuck his foot in his mouth? Unless one can prove that he is failing at the strategic level, let him do his job.

Shoot, Bill Clinton could chair the RNC-provided he raise money for the GOP & recruit solid conservative candidates. If Steele is failing on these counts, we can talk.

Vince has a point, too. We knew he was an occasionally squishy moderate. Axing him now suggests that the initial Republican enthusiasm for Steele was disingenuous. Granted, not everyone was excited about Steele. But enough were excited to give him the nod. To turn on Steele so early is to accuse many other Republicans of tokenism. I don't buy it.

Look people. As a black east coast conservative, attacking Mike Steele does nothing for the cause. So he looks at life a little differently. Our argument is they on the left reject anyone who disagrees with them. Is this the Republican party?

Canning him now is too extreme. I am not happy either with some of his comments, but at least understands afterwards and corrects himself. At this point canning him would bring more scorn than letting him find his voice.

He's not shown much ability to think on his feet, perhaps he's in over his head.
