I use the Apple earbuds BUT I use Yurbuds with them.
They are silicon enhancers that make the Apple earbuds stay in your ears, much more comfortable, and sound a lot better. They make all the difference.

Sony Fontopia's with foam pads. what's with the no foam pads Apple, they simply fall out of my ears. Ergonomy = fail.

  • Kevin - 15 years ago

I currently use and love my Shure SE210's although I also loved my previous Etymotic Research ER6i's. Sadly the cord on the ER6i's got cut and they aren't usable. I heard with a little skill I can take my iPod headphones and graft them to my ER6i - I hope to do that some day.

  • Mike - 15 years ago

    Bose Tri-port In-ear

  • WYSINAWYG - 15 years ago

    Sennheiser-sumthing-300 (in-ear) when flying/in noisy surrounds.
Else, V-Moda-sumthing (now discontinued) when on-the-go but needing music outside my skull.
Nice, open Grado SR-60s at home.

I use a JVC inside-your-ear-near-your-brain one. The original ones give me pain and bass do not sound nearly as good.

  • Grace - 15 years ago

I use whatever is cheapest, it seems. I break my headphones waaaaay to often for anything else. Though, I refuse to use earbuds at all. They fall out of my ears.

  • eli skipp - 15 years ago

I use a pair of shure earbuds. The sound is FANTASTIC! Apple earbuds are so crappy.

Yes I use, I also has Creative earbuds for my old MP3 and other "quality" earbuds that putting into ear takes forever. Apple earbuds are good enoght.

  • 56 - 15 years ago

Etymotics hf2 - said to be developed for iPod. Sound is great, noise canceling is decent (lots of planes where I live), and they have been pretty durable so far.

  • Unionhawk - 15 years ago

    I use Skull Candy headphones

  • Debsuvra - 15 years ago

I don't use Apple headphones and even don't recommend others to use it. It's better to get something from Creative like EP-630.

  • Brad Eleven - 15 years ago

Philips. No earbuds have ever fit my ears, they hurt if I cram them in, and slip out if I insert them sideways.

  • s - 15 years ago

jbuds. the earphones that come with the iphone/ipod are sub-par in sound quality and break very easily.

  • RT - 15 years ago

I use JVC Marshmallow headphones. They have soft earphones that conform to the shape of your ear. This means they don't fall out of my ears like the Apple standard earbuds do. They also block out a lot of sound, so I don't have to turn them up to "eardrum piercing" to hear my music over the crap they play at the gym. They are cheap, and don't sound as awesome as high-end headphones, but at least if the cat chews through them, I'm only out $15-20.

  • Murel - 15 years ago

Sony in Ear, bass booster good for techno, metal

  • chimney - 15 years ago

i hate the apple ear buds! they fall out of my ears constantly and i can't hear anything with them. they are made with people with freakishly small ears!!

  • Zak - 15 years ago

v-mode is, in my opinion, the best. i tried shure, and the standard earphones, but neither just "felt right" in my ears

  • GoHuskies - 15 years ago

the headphones the ipod comes with are terrible. i spent $20 on some skull candy smokin' budz and enjoy those much more.

  • Hey You - 15 years ago

I use Sony earbuds. The Apple earbuds were too big for my ear (??). I don't mind spending $50-$100 for earbuds that sound and fit good.

  • darley - 15 years ago

    Etymotic hf2™ Headset + Earphones

  • Lemonpie - 15 years ago

Apple in ear headphones... Can't stand the regular ones.

  • CallMeMister - 15 years ago

Apple earbuds are a small advertisement to muggers. "Hey! Caught your eye there, didn't I? Yep, I'm unaware you're even looking at me, but my ipod (or if you're lucky, iPhone) is right in THAT pocket. You're getting something good on this one!"
I use cheap Phillips wrap-around phones, earbuds don't seem to stay in during exercise.

  • Patrick - 15 years ago

I use apple earbuds, but not the ones that come with the iPods. I like the in-ear ones! The latest version of them isn't the greatest, but it beats the ones that are included.

  • sticky_bit - 15 years ago

Westone UM-2's for more critical listening and VModa Vibe Duo for daily use.

  • glennc - 15 years ago

Sennheiser MX 660 - like the apple earbuds but with in-line volume control and most importantly NOT WHITE.

  • Ekey - 15 years ago

I use the Sony MDR-V500. The in-ear type never seem to fit or work for me.

  • victor - 15 years ago

I use Altec over the ear. The Apple ear buds don't fit my ears.

  • logich - 15 years ago

  • Karan Puri - 15 years ago

Etymotic HF2's .... ROcKIN' ALL ThE WaY

  • Ryan - 15 years ago

I've spent more on headphones/earphones than on my actual iPod Touch, which is an 8GB 1st gen. Jailbroken, of course.

    iPod = £200
Headphones/Earphones = £260 (10 different pairs, i've broken eight and had to replace them)

  • James - 15 years ago

Sennheiser CX300 on the go, Sennheiser HD555s at home.

  • TheElite1 - 15 years ago

I use Razer Morays, all other headphones just fall out of my ears whenever I move.

  • daniesq - 15 years ago

I, too, use Phillips in-ear headphones. For $20, they're pretty comfortable and produce pretty good sound.

  • Jepel - 15 years ago

For some time I used a pair of iPod earbuds I found on the ground somewhere. Now I split my time between BlackBerry stereo headset (on the bus) and Sony MDR-V150 at home. I'm quite pleased with both of them.

  • Michelle - 15 years ago

    skullcandy

  • Mike Barber - 15 years ago

    Shure SC4

  • Joshua - 15 years ago

Sennheiser PX-100 and V-Moda Vibe Duo

  • Kate - 15 years ago

The Apple earbuds don't fit me, either.
I'm not a 'sound snob' (or can't tell the differnce) so I have a pair of JVC Gummy. They work, they're inexpensive and if anything happens to them, I can buy more.

  • Eugene - 15 years ago

Sennheiser PX-100. Reasonably inexpensive and extremely good-sounding open-type overhead phones.

  • rahkele - 15 years ago

skullcandy in-ear buds- works great with my freakishly small ear holes. the apple earbuds refuse to stay in my ears!

  • aginulfo - 15 years ago

I use Shure E3c and would never go back to anything else.

  • viv - 15 years ago

creative in-ear earphones. apple default ones suck..

  • Mykey - 15 years ago

Why does anyone buy these useless audio players? Save up the cash and get a real iPod.

I use the isolating in-ear from Apple also. Comfortable and great sound.

  • Andy - 15 years ago

I use earbuds only when i have to. None is comfortable, including -- especially! -- Apple's. Prefer over the ear head phones.

  • CC PALACE - 15 years ago

    Skullcandy Titans or Senheiser cx400s

  • Corey - 15 years ago

I use Bose Triport headphones that I got off eBay a while back for an amazing price. They're excellent 'phones.

  • neried7 - 15 years ago

Westone UM2 earphones. High quality sound, and durable - the same pair has lasted me for 2.5+ years, longer than the iPods.

  • Craig Boehme - 15 years ago

Nope... I have a few different aftermarket earbuds I prefer. The Apple earbuds hurt my ears.
