Would you pay $2-3 for premium Thinkin' Lincoln content?

As said by Jay up there, I'm all about buying and wearing t-shirts. Which, truthfully will advertise your comic more and also make you money! As for donations, I've donated to a webcomic artist in the past, since it was a one time thing and I had extra money, but I can't imagine I really care $3 a month worth what other people think of the comic I love.

It's not that I don't like Thinkin' Lincoln. I LOVE Thinkin' Lincoln. But I love Achewood, too, and I don't subscribe to the jigga-whatsit there, either. I'm a really bad reader (though I suspect I'm similar to most) in that I enjoy the heck out of the comic, but I never donate and I almost never click ads.

$2-3 is so cheap that it is literally pocket change for me right now at this very moment

depends on the nature of the additional content though

It really depends... I moniter the comic via RSS feed; if the additional comment is pumped out via a feed, I'd happily offer up monthly cash. If not, then not.

A big problem I have with the Toothpaste for Dinner example is that it looks like it becomes a "community" and gives you a forum and lets you comment on old comics and stuff. Now, I dunno about you, but I've never said to myself "gee, I really wish there was a way I could read MORE comments on the Internet!" My personal favourite way to support webcomics is by buying T-shirts, so if you have a shirt I like, and I happen to have money, and your shipping is reasonable, then you have some of my money.

A monthly donation isn't my kind of thing. Personally, I'd be much more likely to donate if it was an at once deal, and I'm guessing a lot of the people who said no are just being honest about that same thing, not because they don't want to donate to the site. Maybe you could find something easier to whip up than custom comics? Sorry I'm not much help, I just don't want you to be sad.

Keep up the excellent work, I try to pimp Thinkin Lincoln to anyone I can :)

Wow. As of this posting, it's 33% per option. While im sure that means there are only three votes currently, that kind of outcome is exactly 0% help. But Lincoln is quickly becoming my favorite Webcomic, so im all for this idea
