Who Should Play Alec in New Moon, opposite Dakota Fanning as Jane?

Alex Pettyfer would be perfect!!! He is a great actor and considering these vampires are supposed to have 'perfect' faces, his face alone should make him stand out for the role.

i think freddie or that guy is the best option though he is very known but please please don´t choose neither tom... the draco boyy nor the narnia one!!! it would suck!!! cause twilight is... just twilight!!!! you know and if some of them played alec´s roll in new moon it will be like nonmagical and i bet none of the fanS would like that... besides they are both uggly and a vampires are supposed to be cute, hot and beautiful!!! so... don´t choose themmm....!!!! and the other options are like not so well cause alec is supposed to look childlike just like jane and dakota has 14 yearS gosh!!! and those guys are like 20 something....

first off!! freddie is a NOO!...and Rob Patz was in Harry Potter too! did you forget that so dont just say no to Tom because of his other role! When I first heard that R Patz was in Twilight I was like "He was in Harry Potter as Cedric!" thats where half his fan base already came from. I think Tom would be perfect, he's sneaky and evil in his other role and can pull off the role very well but I think they should pick someone alittle less known but noone from disney for gods sake!

I think they need to look a bit longer for someone. They've gone with actors who aren't wildly known and i think they should stick with tht. Tom looks like he might match the part but you can't be sure. But i'm not sying hes not a great actor because i love HP too.

I think they should put Alex Pettyfer, He is the cutest one and could play the role of Alec.

hm.ppl u shouldnt even think about this one, its too easy, and this message goes to the public, and the ppl frm new moon, tom felton is way more than perfect for this role. just imagine, alec is supposed to be like the best traker in the world and all tough and fierce, well, if tom can do his draco in the hp series, just imagine him in volturri already in new moon standing with jane both besides aro, hes too perfect for the role, he has the talent, the fame, and the willing enough to make alec's role way more than exelent.

well even tho tom felton is blonde.. he's from harry potter and well we have rob form harry potter... wouldn't that be weird? i personally think Gaspard Ulliel is really good looking and will probably suit the Alec character well. and afterall Peter Facinelli turned out to be a handsome blonde.

toms to well known. skandar is too. and alex looks like 20 sumfin. hes only ment to look like a kid. and the gaspard dude looks way too old aswell.

yeah rob was in hp but only for one movie and he only said like 4 lines. toms in all of them.

they need some actors that are well known! thats why the first movie sucked. and what does it matter what movie tom felton starred in, he would play the character perfect and looks like dakota. so you ppl need to get out of your head that they need crappy actors. they need good actors and some of the actors in twilight sucked. and yes toms in all the movies but you know cedric was remembered from the movie he was in and everyone cried to cedric died in HP. so the old movies they were in mean nothing, its wither they can act or not and tom cam act that part perfect.

Tom Felton is more than perfect 4 the role of Alec. He matches Dakota perfectly: he's got the pointed face, the evil facade, and he looks almost exactly like Dakota. The first movie didn't suck!! They aren't CRAPPY ACTORS as you said. The actors and actresses followed their parts perfectly! The movie was almost exactly like the book, and that counts as a good movie.

I believe that Frankie Mundiz would do a swell job playing the part of Alec. He has the round face and the boyish figure described in the book. He is fairly well known, and would look nice on screen sided with Dakota Fanning and the rest of the crew.

Here are some people that could possibly fit as Leah, but it's just in my opinion:

Salma Hayak, Madeleine Stowe, and even Jessica Alba. All three have that somewhat exotic look as portrayed in "New Moon" that Leah had.
