There is hope, people are looking for hope, not negative thinking. We have been taught that negative energy follows negative people and positive energy follows positive people. Right?
So let's have some hope, its all that we have right now.
As a moderate conservative, I am quite disturbed at the idea-less negativity and vicious criticism being hurled toward Obama by the extreme right. It's like they still don't get it that this nation is mired in an outright crisis, and one that was created by the trickle-down and deregulation theories having played out to disaster over the past few years - which they still claim is the solution to all our problems. I thank God for any candidate who is sincere and decisive in wanting to solve our problems and one who offers specific plans which to not replicate the past. And who can argue with the wealthiest among us having to pay their fair share of taxes? I'm afraid we're witnessing the decline of the Republican Party because they listen to solution-less political entertainers like Rush Limbaugh who actually have no substance and no credentials. We need the ideas of the best and brightest of both parties now, and we need hope for a better future, not more of the same negative, self-serving rhetoric for the upper crust of our society. Many of us have led very successful careers and contributed significantly to our community's well-being, even though we do not make the big bucks -- but we're being pushed out of the party of Abraham Lincoln by a small group of wealthy people on the far right who pay handsomely people like Limbaugh to grandstand daily with their one-way microphones. Times are far too serious to be so greedy and desperately trying to hang on to the power that they used to have. Obama is surprising me with his moderate, concerned, and intelligent engagement of a myriad of problems now facing us - he is showing me real character and substance, which sadly is lacking in his far-right critics. We all need to support this President and hope that he succeeds, because all of us will win, including the well-off.
