While we as a family hope to work on more than one of the above mentioned categories during Lent/the Great Fast -- we see spiritual growth as first & foremost. We also hope to be more involved in the Spiritual & Corporal Works of Mercy.

All of the above.

I am planning to step out my comfort zone in our business and help DH out more.

Make THEM, Pray THEM, and give THEM away ...
Twine Rosaries.

I guess that means I will also be praying a lot more of The Rosary this LENT. Given what is happening in the news lately, I feel that is one thing I CAN DO to help ... pray!

I plan on doing again what my spiritual advisor told me to do last year....pray the Rosary and read the Bible daily. I am unable to fast due to my health.

I heard a great homily a number of years ago that recommended doing something positive -- this year, adding Morning prayer to my routine -- as well as something "negative" -- giving up what will probably be chocolate. I've left previous Lents with some excellent new spiritual disciplines.

Life is so busy, but I thought that I could invite some mums from school home to my place after school drop off. It would give me an opportunity to be kind and hospitable to people that maybe don't 'see' Jesus the way our family does.

I hope to make my first confession in more than 35 years and be able to receive communion this Easter.

I am working on discipline in my life.

To do so, I am committed to ending my day at 11 pm, which means I can rise early, say my morning prayers and go to Mass and even exercise, all before the hustle and bustle of the day begins. I just started, and its so liberating.

Being the Melancholy Menopausal woman I am and small business owner the news has really gotten be down lately: I gave up FOX News (even talk) and made Faith and Family my home page. We are also doing the Rosary and Angelus together as a family.

You Go Dan - Congrats and Blessings!

I couldn't pick just one. I am fasting from sweets and all liquids but water, but I also switched from fiction to Chesterton and will read Futlon Sheen after that. I also beefed up on prayers for my family and myself. All of them bring different things to me. Lastly and the hardest for me is to keep my mouth shut when a bunch of us women get together and gossip!!!!

I am fasting from logging onto my husband's facebook, and limiting my chocolate intake (which is progress!).

I am focusing on my evening prayer, which is difficult to make time to do.

I am setting aside "extra" money (apart from our regular tithe) every paycheck to give away to someone in need.
