talladega city had there chance before the county commissions 5 year time limit. there proposal was deemed not as good as lincolns by bill huie. 2 chances is enough let the park be developed by lincoln and let see what they do.
As usual Talladega dropped the ball...didn't use the property when they had it. Now that Lincoln will do something good, and productive with the property Talladega wants 'it back'...sorry, in my opinion you lost your opportunity. Behave like an adult, please. Lincoln has a mayor that is on the ball with Lincolns' best interest on his agenda. Maybe Talladega political figures could take some lessons from Mayor Lew Watson...who has taken a much smaller town than Talladega and grown it into a properous city, that is respected.
Talladega had their change. I wish they had done something but they chose not to. Lincoln is a good place and I believe they will make a go of it. Talladega had it for 5 years and not one thing was done. Good luck to you Lincoln!
Talladega can't take care of what they got and don't need any more to take care of. they would like to expan out but they are not wanted or needed keep out talladega we don't need your troubles!!!!!!!!!
Talladega's city council has conducted itself in a totally unprofessional and childish manner over the entire Brecon Annex situation. The members of this august body have once again succeeded in embarassing our citizens. Like the kid who wants to take his bat & ball and go home because he doesn't get his way. Pathetic. Or cry and whine about how unfair it is. Unfair? We (Talladega County) had a GIFT laid in our hands and failed to take advantage of it. Mr. Right Hand doesn't want Mr. Left Hand to get anything up on him so we do nothing. Way to go, 'Dega! Look at how we take care of facilities we already have. Do we really want our tax dollars to go towards something else that will not be maintained and kept up? Now that this property has been awarded to Lincoln and they have a real plan, why not get on board? Beat the drum, honk the horn, clang the clanger and get involved. Be a part of something positive and progressive for a change! Get real, get a life, get over it. Pettiness is probably the biggest problem we have in our town today - whiney petty little spoiled babies who want everything their way, want something for nothing. Grow up. Life is not always "fair" and you don't always get what you want. If I were Lincoln, my message to the leaders of the fair town of Talladega would be lead, follow or get out of the way because we are moving forward!
