As a freelance PA I have been asked to take on all of these roles recently. The current economic climate is making companies very relectant to take on further commitment in terms of extra permanent staff, but those that are growing (which may be a surprising thought) still need extra help. They are looking to people like me to provide the extra resource on an interim basis.
