I cannot begin to fathom why the public suppors is where is is. To kill a man for killing a man is complete and shear hypocracy. I'd rather a murderer be locked in a jail cell in complete solitude for the rest of his days.

Remember folks, West Virginia has abolished capital punishment and we have not suffered because of it. These should be, however, provisions for incarceration, real incarceration, for life. This does not mean solitary confinement in prisons except for those for whom solitary confinement is needed for the protection of other prisoners. The way out of prison for one sentenced for live would be executive clemency. Thus there would always be a way to remedy wrongful imprisonments or unnecessary continuation of imprisonment.
