Doping testing might become wise and worthwhile someday, but now in 2009 it is at best premature.

Some local chess orgs might get $ from their government due to the IOC (Olympic) recognition of chess, but overall there is not enuf of that (nor distributed broadly or evenly enuf) to justify the hassle and expense of dope testing now.
