How do you feel about the current state of UVa basketball?

Landisberg is the only real player on the team. The rest are a bunch of inept wannabes. The coach is totally lacking of any ability. He can't recruit, he can't coach, he can't motivate and he is the most negative coach I have ever heard when talking about his players. He never says anything encouraging.Some of his language on the sidelines also needs to be cleaned up . Doesn't he realize that fans can hear, or does he care? If the program is to become any better, we need a new coach, many more talented players and maybe a new Director of Athletics !!

Landenburg is definitely good, but we do have some other talent on the team that could tapped and developed...and made effective with the right type coach. Someone with the type of coaching skills of Terry Holland. Terry had the knack of bringing the best out in all his players, even average to a little above average players. I recently watched a game between UVA and the Hoyas during the Sampson Era. Granted, Sampson was dominate, but his supporting cast did their jobs and performed well.
Othel Wilson, Ricky Stokes, Rick Carlisle, Craig Robinson and others with a walk-on by the name of Edelin....He contributed and after Sampson left started at center. Jeff Jones was also that type of coach and still is. Young coaches like Anthony Grant, Sean Miller and Brad Stevens might be able to do that. Beilein of Michigan, formerly of Richmond and West Virginia, is definitely that type of coach.
Nothing personal against current AD, but I hated to see Terry Holland leave and wish he was still our AD. When you think of UVA, you can't help but think about Terry Holland and his accomplishments as coach, AD and later as a fund raiser.
Right now, a coach like Terry, that can bring out the best in this current group and that can also recruit top level talent is what we need.
It's hard to attract top level talent the way things are going now. Not only that, it makes for disgruntled fans and reduced attendance at JPJ.
Yes, fans and players become upset and worried. It is fun to win, it's no fun to lose.

UVA is the laughingstock of the ACC in mens baskerball and the reason is littlepage and letaio.Poor recruting and terrible coaching equals what we got now. I don't like knocking players but lets face it Sene will never be a acc type of player , you want a center that can score in double figures and Sene will be two to three point scorer.I have been a UVA FAN for a long time , this is sickening.Fire letaio now because with coaching its not going to get better and bring in a coach with a proven record.

The BB coach has got to go! The season is lost. Why isn't Brandenburg playing?

I have noticed that over the last 10 games or so, the UVA players have finally bought into the type of defense it takes to win. It hasn't reflected in their record, but the effort is there. UVA reminds me of Wake Forest and Clemson over the last couple of years, and look at those teams now. You read it here first, UVA will win 20 games next season.

Virginia fans should demand a house cleaning. Leitao is out, now Littlepage should do the honorable thing: RESIGN. His record is deplorable. The problem is that he and his staff have been in charge for so long that we have come to expect and accept incompetence. There is no excuse for UVA to stand for mediocrity, and we don't, we are much worse.
