I think that UA should go ahead with the expansion. Every year games are sold out and this would help the season ticket list shrink and help the Tuscaloosa Economy boom and grow!
If the stadium is expanded as projected, then in the fall of 2010 there will not be even 50,000 people that will be able to afford the costs of tickets, travel(gas) food(eating out or tailgating) and other miscellaneous expenses.I am very aware that there are more Bama fans than almost any other school, but by the time the expansion is ready, then only the FEW, mostly Alumni, will be able to afford to spend the money. These people will be home watching on TV.,and with Bama's ratings, TV networks will be stongly courting them for viewing rights. Let's face it folks, now is bad enough, but in 2010, jobs will be so limited people will not have enough disposable income to afford LUXURY items and events like this.
Think of it as the "Bama Stimulus Program" and will not cost the tax payers a dime!
How dare you! This will only help our economy and our great state. I don't care if is Alabama or Auburn doing this. It is our money and I woud rather spend it where I want to. Think about how much this will help our economy with all of the new vendors it will bring in. It is not up to you to have a say in this.
I agree with the person above. How stupid can you be. Do you not realize how this willhelp our State? Think - how many jobs will be created? You are suppose to be educated people. I will never watch you news again now that I know how shallow you are.
