if you are buying the house then that makes the property yours, park your cars were ever you like. if you are renting thats up to the land lord.not the city.
If the reason is the value of other people's homes being brought down by their neighbors parking on their lawn...what if that neighbor complains about the crappy painting, or broken garage door...or crappy lawn work others have in the area. Seriously...it's not like it all of a sudden started...if that's the premise upon which that neighborhood is than that should be how it should stay...but at the same time...I think certain counties can or should put restrictions on it.
A well kept lawn adds value to your property but on the other hand a poorly maintained lawn can lower property values. Parking vehicles on the lawn will eventually compact the soil and cause bald spots in the lawn. Although this issue may appear to be a private or personal choice, it actually affects your neighbors and your neighborhood.
o.k. we are living in a world where everthing is on the rise, the economy is in a mess, people are loosing their values, etc. these are a major problem.
I do not live in august, but if you are going to tell me where i can park my car on my own property, then you need to help me pay my taxes, and also assist me in getting several pave drive ways, for my vehicle, and my guest.
and as for as the value goes, leave that worry to the homeowenrs, it will be just another stress test to add to everything else. i really hope all you'll pray, and think things over carefully before you''ll presents anything to the community.
