Switching to ioquake is pointless and painful. 1.8 brings nothing really useful, it just helped killing the game faster than it was already dying.
1.76 is the way to go. I'd even play without the updated mappack if servers hadn't all switched to it, since the few bug fixes it brings are worthless compared to the fucked up spawns.
you're damn right!! the pip and the coaching features aren't useful at all ... and upgrading to the latest by id developed version of q3 is nonsens also. dude, switching back to 1.76 is like to downgrade back to win95 again. what's so difficult about extracing a file and copying a folder? everyone without a brain is complaining. there have been always whiners back to the days the other ra3 updated have been released. support the mod or gfy!
