I have decided to engage in the political realm considering what is happening with this stimulus bill. I am grateful that you stated that you would not consider voting for a bill filled with pork. Obviously this one is full of it. I believe you will vote against it and give us a real bill that will stimulate our economy. I believe that Freddy and Fannie need to be dealt with or closed and I also believe that all of those involved should be held accountable for their actions, politicians and Wall Street tycoons alike. The small business person is the back bone of our economy, please give them a break so they can grow and expand and be able to hire more employees. This will be a huge boost to our stagnant economy. Thank you for voting NO on this bill. I will from now on be paying attention to all of my representatives and their voting records.

I think that it is completely unreasonable to expect our Masters of the Universe to scrap by on $400k per year, which is not even enough to cover the annual maintenance on a proper mistress, let alone pay for yacht fuel at today's prices. Lets be reasonable here, and cap these idiots' salaries at say 100x what the American president earns, $40 megabucks. After all, Obama doesn't even pay for Air-force One's fuel out of his own pocket. If these Masters were ever to stop baiting the Universe, we would all be sorry.

That bill needs to state very clearly that it's executive compensation that's being limited, not just pay. Claire McCaskill uses both terms in her statement in Congress; it's important that the bill not leave any loophole that the banks or other financial institutions can slip a big payoff through.

Clearly these execs receiving Taxpayer Dollars need a list of rules. We can call them the 10 Commandments for the Former Masters of the Universe.

    1) Compensation limited to that of Prez of US
    2) No bonuses or stock options during time of bailout and until taxpayers are paid back.
    3) If you can find a better deal, please take it.
    4) No new airplanes, rugs or office redecoration. Yes, decorators need jobs. Hire them for your McMansion.
    5) No chauffeured driven automobiles unless you're drunk or on drugs.
    6) You WILL be audited.
    7) Play nice -- it's STILL not your money.
    8) All compensation will be taxed at ordinary income rates.
    9) Public Apology to the World for being Greedy B*ards.
    10) If you don't believe in Democracy, that's ok. Here -- take your passport.

The bill must be amended to demand repayment, to US Treasury, all bonuses and/or retainer compensation (or any cleverly coined term's compensation transaction that acts as a bonus) paid, in 2008 or 2009, to all management and execs of financial institutions who have received or will receive TARP funds.

Let's have a modicum of common sense here, please. Put them in jail.
