The IYS 2008 as seen from the voting was a good try. But what we need to make it a success is to increase the level of awarenes in our society, advocacy to government and its agencies to own up to the process and the NGOs in the water, sanitation and hygiene sector should also be proactive. This efforts in important in view of the limited time left in meeting the MDGs target by the year 2015.
