heres the bottom line...if someone said that I could have a meal with only one of those items, the answer would always, undoubtedly, be cholent...even during channukah.
even thought latkes are amazing, theres too many bad kinds out there, and every batch can be a gamble...you know what youre getting with cholent...meaty, beany, potato...y, slow cooked goodness.
