Jeff and Evelyn: Thanks for commenting. The Archbishop Murphy boys basketball team is definitely having a fine season. I considered including the Wildcats in this poll but ultimately didn't because they were picked by coaches to finish second in the Cascade Conference. So I'm not all that surprised that Archbishop Murphy (which returned its best player from the 2007-08 team that went to state) leads the league with a 5-0 record. Its 45-43 victory over King's earlier this month was huge though. I'm looking forward to the rematch next week (Jan. 27 at Archbishop Murphy High).
