I'm not gonna watch it because of all the hype they are making about him being Black. I have no problem with blacks, nor people of any race. But since he was accepted as the Dems pick, then go on the win, I congratulate him on becoming the President. But unlike past inaugurations, they are making this "Historic" mainly because he is HALF black. Not what the man can do, what he has done, what his plans for the future of this nation are. All the media outlets, be it foreign or domestic, are making it about his race. And I just don't want to watch any of it. Everyone domestic and foreign make a HUGE case about how racist that Americans are, and we are only confirming what people are saying about us, with the current state of the media.

It's amazing there is still so much ignorance in 2008. This election IS HISTORIC BECAUSE HE IS BLACK. When a country where whites owned blacks, it IS HISTORIC to have a black president! When a country had laws that segregated and abused blacks, it IS HISTORIC to have a black president! Yes, his race is part of the reason this is a historic inauguration. However, he is celebrated for his promise to renew the standing of America in the world, for his promise to help those in need and to change the terrible state of this union. Can he do it?? I have faith that he can. Will I blindly follow if he makes the same mistakes as the previous administration. No way and never! But today, I am going to enjoy it. I am going to shed a few tears when a black man lays his hand on Abraham Lincoln's bible and promises to make this a country one I can be proud of again!! And sir, you can say all day long "I have no problem with blacks, nor people of any race" but as Abe Lincoln once said, "How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg?
Four. Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg."

I'll be watching the Inauguration today because you only get one chance to see a first. Yes the fact that he is black makes the BIG differance because we have never had a black president. Now we do. Maybe he will be the one man who could bring our country together and all the hate can't finally stop and everyone can accept poeple for who they are and not for where they came from.

I will not be watching. I don't see what the big deal is anyways, it is just another black family moving into government housing. We see this happen everyday.

Wow...I am surprised to see that there are ignorant people who know how to use the internet. Some might be surprised because there are white families who go into government housing everyday as well. I am hoping that the narrow minded people of this country can get past their prejudices and realize that they help cause hate in this country today. This is also historic because I have never seen people (of all ages) so excited about a president. If you do not agree with Obama's views, I can respect that. If you do not like him from the wrong reasons, then what kind of American are you?

If Obama is allowed to make the final decisons, then I believe situations may end on a positive note.(Keep your eyes on the 'Transition Team" for these guys are hard core Democrats, which the tranition team has made most of the Cabinet decsions so far.)
He talks about the 'Day of Service'. Watch out for this, for when President Obama gets through cutting all the programs out of the budget that the Bush Administration had in place, then the Democrats will ask all of us to serve those who will be cut out of these programs.

I DEFINATELY DID NOT WATCH ANY OF THE INAUGURATION TODAY. I DIDN'T VOTE TO PUT HIM IN OFFICE AND I SURELY WILL NOT WATCH TO SUPPORT HIM. ALL THE MONEY THAT WAS RAISED FOR TODAY COULD HAVE BEEN USED FOR BETTER PURPOSES THAN WHAT IT ACTUALLY WAS USED FOR. HE TALKS ABOUT CHANGE... THE ONLY CHANGE THAT I SEE COMMING IS THAT WHITES ARE GOING TO BECOME SLAVES..
