I do feed my twitter stream for our personal family blog, so that relatives can see what we've been up to when posts are scant. I do not feed my twitter stream to my professional blogs, because there is personal content in it. I do put a button, "Follow me on Twitter," so if someone is already twittering and they want to be twitter friends, then that's great. But if not, I'd prefer not to clutter up my professional blogs with comments about what I'm shopping for online, or what I think of some new music album. For Twitterers who use it for only professional purposes, however, it makes sense to put the stream on their blog!
Yes, I add my blog post links, but very rarely. Maybe two or three times per month if I have something of value to add. That's enough for me to add my own work. I read that proper "Twitter etiquette" was three times per month.
However, I don't mind at all when bloggers add their blog links to the Twitter stream, and add them frequently. I believe that sharing one's own posts more than three times per month is perfectly okay. There are many blogs out there that have fantastic and valuable content. Their links provide great value to the Twitter stream.
How are we going to have excellent content to read if the links are not posted to the Twitter stream? It matters not to me if the blog link is posted by the blogger himself or by somebody else! Yes, please, tweeters, generously and more frequently add other tweeters' blog post links, but if you have something worthwhile to share, please share it!

I read that question wrong. Do I feed my Twitter stream to my blog? No. I've thought about it, just to get more people interested in Twittering. I am seriously considering it, as I would like others to share in the experience of Twittering.
Sorry I answered the question wrong!

I do feed my twitter stream to my professional blog. I have noticed that a certain number of my readers are return visitors, and I think the twitter stream gives them something new to read in between regular blog posts. The twitter stream also supplements the blog, because I can tweet links of interest that may not warrant a full blown blog post.
Regarding personal content, I think that the twitter stream injects more of my personality into the blog. A picture of the dog in the snow, a description of my Christmas eve dinner menu...what's the harm? I don't know for sure, but I bet these glimpses into my personal life are beneficial. I do, however, keep in mind that whatever I tweet will be on my professional blog.
Best wishes for the new year.
I have struggled with this issue. I ultimately have made the decision not to feed my twitters to my blog. My blog addresses the type of legal services I provide and my thoughts on issues relating to products liability litigation. Many of my tweets are of a personal nature or a sarcastic comment to someone else's tweet. Taken out of context, I do not think the potential clients who may read my blog will understand where I am coming from. They also may only see one side of the conversation. Sort of like when you only listen to one side of a phone conversation. Thus at this point I have made the decision not to feed my tweets into my blog. However, I do have a Twitter badge on my site.
Grant: I do not have a blog set up yet and I am also new to Twitter. thanks chuck
