Pork Roll? Who the hell calls it that, besides South Jerseyans, aka Philadelphians?
If you want to stay in New Jersey, you better get with the program - It's Taylor Ham, and I don't give a damn what brand we're talking about.
It's pork roll. Taylor, Case, Trenton...It's just people from up north out of the region where it's made that call it Taylor Ham. It's not Philly Silly, it's TRENTON. Which is CENTRAL NJ, check a map!
Also, this is a bad sampling as it'll be biased to the northern NJ region.
Folks -"Pork roll". Taylor ham is a ham, if I remember my childhood correctly. I lived in Burlco for 20 years, went to RU, moved to Bucks county and have been here for decades. It's always called pork roll where I've been.
Did your ever see a package that says contains "Taylor Ham"? Every package I've ever seen says that the package contains "Pork Roll". Even the Shop Rite brand is Pork Roll. Central & South Jersey people got it right just look at the package people!!!! It's Pork Roll!!!
All that aside, it's still Taylor Ham. Cases, Trenton ... whatever. In all cases (and I'm not talking for legal purposes here, obviously), it's Taylor Ham.
I'm not hearing from any New Jerseyans - Burlco (where I actually now reside, since leaving New Jersey), Rutgers, Bucks Co., Philly - what do these have to do with New Jersey? (Trenton, or any other 609-located municipality, is norther Delaware)
Come to New Jersey (by which I mean Hudson, Passaic, Morris, Bergen, Somerset, Sussex, Warren and Hunterdon - I'll even include Middlesex if their payoff ever arrives), and see how it works. THEC is a Taylor Ham, egg and cheese.
On the other hand, if you want a sideways look, order 'pork roll' ...
...misguided scrapple-eaters....
Sorry, in my haste to bring order to the situation, I carelessly omitted Essex and Union from that elite confederation of counties.
My apologies, Norkers.
