OMG, tonight was the 1st time I heard abt this competition. The 1st one I listened was the one from Malaysia, who was quite impressive...HOWEVER, Abed from France? OMG, gave me chills!!! What a voice !! U may need to try out for American Idol, bud! I'm a Mariah fan, so I know how difficult that song was, and for you to hit those high notes perfectly with your falsetto? Amazing!! I'm definitely voting for ABED tonight.

  • Benny - 15 years ago

Auch, I almost forgot a special nomination to Petr Lansky which manage of background vocals was just delightful, really really genius kind, Mimi will love it!!!

  • Benny - 15 years ago

Well, I love almost every song, but I have to give a special nomination to Abed Elamrani (so professional yet so meaningful!!!), Carloz (so heartfelt and taking care of details like adding a pic like a single cover) and Rocky Heron (at first I was scared, but then I love the new vibe of his LTW rendition). Go boys!!!

  • SINGAPORE FAN OF MARIAHCAREY - 15 years ago

I TOTALLY LOVE THE GUY FROM FRANCE,MEXICO AND Petr from Czachoslovakia Republic.

THEY ARE 3 WHO CAN SING MODERATE TO GOOD AS CONTESTANTS AMATEUR.
dont you all people agree with me?

  • youssef - 15 years ago

    Kara + Carlos + Petr + Dzulfazdly + Rocky!!

  • Amber - 15 years ago

Dzulfadzly have the best tone. He could be polished and become a superstar :x:x:x... his tone is simply stunning i loikeee

  • Aryana - 15 years ago

in part to JR's comment...it doesn't matter what was used. As far as the voice, you either have it or you don't. no matter what good equipment you have, it can't enhance something that isn't already there. with no doubt, Abed has talent.

  • Math - 15 years ago

It's realy sad that John Carlton is no longer on the competicion, because I'd loved so, so, so SO much hisreediction of Bye-Bye,

I was waiting for the second round just to hear something new from him

    sad

  • MariahCarey-bg.com - 15 years ago

  • indonesian fan - 15 years ago

HAIL, Petr Lansk, youre also the best.
these contestants should enter the next round, these are the best of the best.
    1. abed [never too far]
    2. Petr Lansk [reflection]

  • indonesian fan - 15 years ago

HAIL, ABED. you are the best so far

  • IRENE THE QUEEN - 15 years ago

I really liked Petyas "Looking In" but honestly, none of these people do Mariahs songs any justice. I wish I would've known about this competition sooner, I totally would've won. =P

  • james lee - 15 years ago

hello...i like the song reflection...sung by Petr Lansky (Czech Republic) - it is really a nice revival....hoping it will be the chosen one.....ill support you!!!!!!!!

  • Ayai123 - 15 years ago

    Go Abed!!!!

U took the high notes n low notes quite well...unlike others who changed it to a boring low notes all the time who unfortunately make the song BORING!!

  • Mila - 15 years ago

Petya is my best friend and I know her for ages. I love her voice, she has enormous talent! When she is singing, she is giving everything from herself, she is putting her soul in every song and that can be felt. Her voice is so beautiful, she has incredible technique and those high notes, I always bristle! Petya can't live without singing, it describes her personality. She is an awesome person and friend, extremely hard working and talented and I am extremely proud of her. Petya deserves to have our support!!!

  • youssef - 15 years ago

    My favorites : Kara + Carlos + Petr + Dzulfazdly + Rocky!!

  • CD-R - 15 years ago

I love Kara even thou I don't like the backing vocal. Her voice is soothing. I love Dzulfadzy even thou his rendition of Never Too Far is actually far from the melody lol. His huskiness is the best. And I love Petr even thou his cover is so Hawaiian.. lol

I would love to hear their Christmas song next week yehaaaaaaaaa!!~~

  • Kevin - 15 years ago

Abed is the best in this cometition!
I don't care if he use some "auto-tone" or anything kind of like that.
Hey,no rules that mention "electronic things not allow",huh?
And,look at Paul's comment at the top of this page,Mariah does it too, guys!
Every proffesional singers in the world does it too!
And that just make the record perfect, not to make fake high note.Abed is really really can do all those amazing high notes.

And I so sad that Cidalia from Brazil and Juan Fath from Indonesia no longer compete, they have so great voices.

  • JOEL - 15 years ago

i like em all!!... DON'T FORGET TO REQUEST MARIAH CAREY'S NEW SINGLE "I STAY IN LOVE" ON RADIO

  • adrian - 15 years ago

Wow the French guy has got my vote. I could not stop listening to his rendition. Beautiful is an understatement. I was absolutely entranced in his voice and he made me re-fall in love with the song. I LOVE IT.

  • Elaina - 15 years ago

    Hi everybody!
I listened to round 1 and 2, I liked Abed both times, although I do realize he got lots of "help", LOL, he still sounds amazing! Carlos and Dzulfadzly were very good too. I really liked Kara. I love Amber's voice, guess what, if she had real equipment she's probably sound better than most, I know she's got sh**ty recorder, because I love to sing myself and I tried to record myself too, but it came out so awful, I just gave it up, ha-ha!
    Good luck, everyone!

  • julian - 15 years ago

very happly surpire, the part after the bridge was moving. impressed

  • J-So - 15 years ago

i liked all of them. the one fom malaysia has a really soothing voice. rocky is great, but i had to listen to his entry twice before i liked it. you got me was nice to hear as well. abed was ok, but i wish he were more restrained. good job everyone!!

  • Rods - 15 years ago

Hi everyone! I'm from Brazil and I'm listening to all songs! Great job, really. My favorites are: Kara Hess and the amazing Rocky Heron! Well, good lock to everyone! (sorry... my English isn't so good)

  • daniel frias almaraz - 15 years ago

  • Awani - 15 years ago

Totally agree with JR. It is not easy listening at all. My ear is bleeding.. sorry :(

  • JR - 15 years ago

The French guy is a fraud... he's not actually hitting those high notes himself. He has some high-dollar software that he's using to electronically alter his recorded vocals - and he over-did it to the point that it's now blatantly obvious. I'd bet money on it. That's why his performance sounds so robotic and chipmunk-ish. Give it another good listen and you'll hear it. There is no shame in using your god-given range (which was probably good anyway), so don't con the world into giving you praise you don't deserve.

Perhaps this whole thing should be re-vamped to give everyone a fair chance - maybe by only allowing a cappella submissions. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have studio access or expensive at-home euipment/software. I have a feeling that better singers may fall out of this thing simply because the only option at their disposal was unedited a cappella vocals.

  • Aryana - 15 years ago

Kara, you did a great job with the song "You Got Me."

  • Rocky Heron - 15 years ago

Hey everyone! I just wanted to send a word of appreciation to all of you out there that have said kind words about my submissions in this contest. It has been a lot of fun. Also to all the other contestants, it's amazing to hear all the talent that's out there! I think we're all bringing something different to this competition and I thinks it's awesome. If anyone wants to check out some more of my music you can click on my name above my non existent profile photo to the left. All the best!

  • Kara Hess - 15 years ago

I actually tried to do all my life because I LOVE that song, especially when she sings it in Glitter and exposes that girl as a fake! lol. But I didn't have any background music! I just didn't feel like the recording would be good enough without background music.

  • Aryana - 15 years ago

Amber you showed more potential this time. The first recording was not good. This time you've done a bit better. You have a pleasant voice but could use a lot of work in technique and control. I think in this song the high vocals you stretch hard to try to reach and even then don't really pull it off. You're not a bad singer but you have a lot of rough spots that could be smoothed out. In this recording verses the first one, you have life in your voice this time and the rhythm is much better. You did good but as you keep practicing you'll nail it even better.

  • Aryana - 15 years ago

Abed, you are AMAZING! What awesome vocals. Your vocal range is outstanding. Never would anyone imagine a guy could have such an ability.
Why are you in this contest? You should be signed to a record label already. You're way too good to be dancing around in contests. Get out there and make an album. Have demos made and send them to record labels. you should be heard by the executives not little "Judge wannabes."

  • viciuzurban - 15 years ago

damn i wanted someone to cover "all my life" such a funky underrated song. people are so serious with their song choices.

  • Gilbert K - 15 years ago

Varun Has the most potential I hear in his voice. Its very powerful but yet smooth... So my vote was for him.... But I also did like Kara she has potential as well... I am eager to see both of them in the next round and songs.... I just think that Varun and Kara has the better vocals of them all... But with that being said, I would of thought there would be experienced singers and people who mastered the whistle register.. But i didnt hear any.... I will stay tuned...
    Gilbert from Houston, TX

  • Almonde - 15 years ago

My favorites : Petr + Dzulfazdly + Rocky!!

  • youssef - 15 years ago

My favourites : Carlos + Kara + Petr + Rocky!!

  • SINGAPORE FAN - 15 years ago

USA Miss Amber sung BYE BYE and for sure Bye Bye to her Bad worst vocality.

Mexico Carlos can sing ThruTheRain well and with Unique feelings approach.
One of most difficult songs of Mariah Carey's.
    Good for Mr.Carlos from Mexico.

France's Mr Abed is quite good also for Never Too Far.

Malaysia's Mr Zammani can OK sing BUT he Cannot changed all High notes to ALL Entirely Low notes,he should sing high full loud notes and Should not have had changed all all notes to lower register.

Czechshoslovakia's Mr Petr can sing so romantically.Good!
and also one very difficult song REFLECTION to sing.

Bulgaria Miss Dimitrova cannot belt those high notes but OK can sing still.

USA Mr Rocky's Lead The Way? no comment for now,not Mariahs M factor AT ALL.Disqualified.

Indias Mr Varun cannot sing also.

BUT AMEN TO THIS MARIAH CAREY COMPETITION.
    Miss Singapore.

  • Marcelo - 15 years ago

    Congratulations to all!!
I just see that someone have been posting in my name, I wish I was a finalist.. but this was not me.
I like Kara Hess the most from here, nice choice.
Whoever is posting in my name, that is enough, they know this is not me.
see you next year! and stop spamming!

  • michela - 15 years ago

I am just really loving Rocky! and one of the judges said his voice isn't as strong as the others, I think he has one of the best most interesting voices there!

he is not trying to emulate Mariah (which is great bc no one can or should) lol and he is so darn creative! he gets my vote again this week!!!

GO ROCKY!!! he is talented (kinda has a jason mraz vibe whom I adore)

I just find myself never pressing the stop button on him =] thats gotta be a good thing.

also I like Abed and Kara and Petr (marked them as ok on my list) lol
    Rocky was a big YES!

  • ainul aishah - 15 years ago

I LOVE DZULFADZLY! he should be in TOP 3! Best of The best!!!

  • adrian135 - 15 years ago

    Carlos Baez!!!!!!!!!!

  • onix - 15 years ago

  • onix - 15 years ago

    WELL, abed still my favoritte

  • youssef - 15 years ago

"You're the star of all my dreams, I just wanna be your everything! Kara you know you really got me!"

  • Kara Hess - 15 years ago

Thank you guys so much for all your nice comments! And suggestions too, I took them into consideration when I recorded my Christmas song. I appreciate it a lot thank you again!!! This contest is a lot of fun.

  • youssef - 15 years ago

My favourites : Carlos + Kara + Petr + Rocky!! (I downloaded the performances and i'm listening to them 24/7)

  • youssef - 15 years ago

Rocky, you're a TRUE talent! I adored your rendition of "lead the way" : it's FAN-TAS-TIC!!!!!

  • onix - 15 years ago

omg im confuse, which one i vote, abed or Dzulfadzly

  • youssef - 15 years ago

Petr Lansky did a really good job!

  • onix - 15 years ago

the guy from malaysia who sang never too far is really good.

  • youssef - 15 years ago

kara, i'm in love with you!!!!

  • onix - 15 years ago

Abed Elamrani is my fav so far, amazing rendition. great job abed,
    hi, lamb, im from indonesia.

  • Archie - 15 years ago

Never Too Far is a hard song to sing , both guys are great to show it ....Keep it up men ............

  • Tien - 15 years ago

Overall, Rocky really rocks with his rendition.

Very creative and refreshing. very hip and fun and happy. the main point is he made people feel uplifted with this version and he really made an effort to show people his colours thru the song, not just trying to sing a MARIAH song. and this actually makes Lead The Way even more universal as people can reinvent themselves with it and showcase different vibes and feels through it.

Vocally, Rocky is quite good as well. his arrangement of background vocals til the end is very subtle and cool. it has laid back fun and pro elements in it.

Hes the one to watch in the next round. i would personally click on his rendition first.

  • Waffel - 15 years ago

Ambed sound like a robot. I dont like it at all. I want Petr or Dzulfadzly to win,

  • Petr Lansky - 15 years ago

    Díky, Milfi !!! :o)

  • Fernando - 15 years ago

I'm not going to vote. this round for me, was extremely bad. the other round was incredible and I even downloaded the Bye Bye cover mixed with One Sweet Day. I thought it was amazing and Mariah should do something similar. But common. I don't even know how the judges can say so much beautiful things to covers that are at least, just OK. And an other thing. the guy from France (Abed): his voice is totally retouched by computers. that's not fair. Other Candidates just sang it acapella!. Finally I would propose a round where everybody has to sing the same song. there we will be able to find the best one, and the best creativity in the song.

  • Danh Ngo - 15 years ago

I like "Though the rain". He is Mr.Carey

  • PencilHope - 15 years ago

    Rocky ROCKS! :D

  • Vera Svobodova - Milfi - 15 years ago

Hello to everybody, I´ve listened to all stuff here and I have to say that there are some nice tries here. I vote for Petr, cause I know how much he´s been trying, I know how much he loves Mariah and I´ve heard more songs - great emotions, feeling. Good luck, my friend ;-) and good luck to everyone. Have a wonderful Christmas!

  • Joi - 15 years ago

Goodness me, I am not even going to make any negative comments about anyone, but the only song I managed to listen to all the way through was Rocky's. So he gets my vote.

  • Petr Lansky - 15 years ago

Hi everybody! Thank you very much for your comments. It´s great to hear some feed-back, because its not only singing songs, this is putting your own feelings in it, you express yourself, even when you do a cover. I think everybody in the competition knows :-) And I agree with Petya.
This competition is parade of great voices, and I wish Mariah sits down for a while and listens. I really hope she does. We´re all on this site bc we love her.
    Have fun! Petr L.

  • Jake - 15 years ago

Abed Elamrani is awesome. He should win!

  • Raphael - 15 years ago

Petr very nice and very successful enjoyed the thought and care you put into the song. You reminded me of John Lennon, I can hear you singing "Imagine." Varun as a vocalist I am captivated by your care free style of song and heart of an artist. You have a good ear for improvisation and are willing to play with melodies and capture something unique. However, a song like "Reflections" really works well when you stick to the melody and ad lib towards the end, in my opinion. Carlos, I am so excited about your entry this week. It was the best in my opinion. The vocals were solid and everything came through so clear. Rocky -- great rendition, and Kara I loved it, great voice and thanks for making the competition a little less balladaire this week. Abed nice job, I prefer hearing the song sung by someone who has a strong top chest register but your talent is extremely noticeable and I admire your style. You are so radio friendly it is amazing. Everyone was wonderful... Keep going Amber let the world hear you. Glad you are still in the competition. This was another challenging week. I am strictly voting based on conviction and a successful approach to the song of choice, and preference of style. So my votes are tied -- Kara and Carlos. Good Luck to everyone and we all have a right to dream.

  • Merc Andree - 15 years ago

i loikee rocky mocky & period too!! lolz

  • Jadie - 15 years ago

I love that guy from Malaysia, period!

  • Leito - 15 years ago

Abed your voice is great, keep on trying and one day you'll reach to Adam Lopez who hits notes as high as the great MC.

Carlos Baez your voice sounds pretty cool and you have choosen a great song.

  • Maddie - 15 years ago

This contest is a fantastic idea (just like our own private AI, lol), hopefully Mariah gets wind of it and takes a listen. She'd be proud I'm sure :)
Rocky I love your performances, they're so unique, you really bring something different to the table. I love when performances/styles of songs are changed.

Petya, I adored your version of Looking In last week. This is my favourite Mariah song, and is one that is often overlooked as being 'woe is me.' Whereas, I feel there is so much sadness and heartbreak in this song, its one of Mariah's best efforts. You did a great job with Reflections also, your voice has a lovely tone to it, and you can switch between high and low with ease.

  • Rindy - 15 years ago

Abed excellent job, you can sing to me anytime. Petya beautiful / watch your pitch, but you got a voice girl. Kara you made this your song I liked it alot come out even greater girl.Carlos good job better than last week. Would like you to bring that voice out more in the next round. You sang my favorite song.Dzulfadzly I did say you played it to safe last week with your vocals. This week you came out, this was better, take more risk. I knew you can come out more. Petr nice much better.Varun very good, work on your pitch, you pulled it off better than last week.Rocky you really stand out different from the rest with your vocals and your arrangement to make songs your own. That is an excellent gift. Amber you have a beautiful voice, but your audio or recording made you sound choppy. It takes away from paying attention to your voice.Im sorry if I offended you in anyway. I really want people to listen to your voice.

  • Dani - 15 years ago

In N's defense everyone is entitled to their own opinion and this is a contest. However it could be put more nicely but when you put yourself out there this will happen. It is fun but it's also a competition.

  • David F. - 15 years ago

For some reason I can't listen to any tracks! ;(

I'm looking forward to listening to all the finalists... I hate it how N was insulting everyone. Thank you Petya for writing those words, if you hadn't written it, I would have doubtlessly done it.

  • Vinícius - 15 years ago

Last week I loved Abed and John Carlton last week but this week I loved the girls!

  • HTH - 15 years ago

    How amazing Abed is!
I'm very impressed with his high note. Sooooo Highhhhhhhh

  • Andy - 15 years ago

Abed and Rocky did great jobs. Go on guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ayai123 - 15 years ago

i like Abed Elamrani's Never too far way better than the Malaysian guy's rendition..coz he sang it too low n it made that song boring...I read the judges comments on Dzulfadzly Zammani..and i agree with them

  • Jeremy - 15 years ago

Abed Elamrani (France) - "Never Too Far"

my favorite!!!!!!!!!!!! loved the first one and this version! keep it up!!!!

  • Danny Lovin U Long Time - 15 years ago

DISCLAIMER: I think everyone has done an amazing job so far. I am a fan of anyone who can sing, as I couldn't sing to save my own life! So with that said, I hope you take my feedback as constructive criticism and support for your art. :) I've enjoyed all of your submissions so far, so thanks!

Abed - You probably the most versatile voice out of everyone in the competition. There is no question you can do many incredible things with your voice and I admire that a lot. But I think some retraint would have made this performance a little more well-rounded. I feel like you threw in every vocal element you could possibly serve up...the stylished phrasing and ad lips, the soulful falsetto, your main register, your lower register, and the super high notes. Granted, Mariah does that occasionially too :) I think if you used some of those elements less, this would have seemed more consistent throughout and less over the top. I do enjoy what you have submitted tho. You are definitely very talented.

Amber - I think you were very bold to do an acapella cover. This leaves the vocalist extremely vulnerable to criticism as every nuance and imperfection can be detected quickly without the aid of backing music to cover up those flaws. Conversely, the sweet notes can be heard easily as well. And in your cover, there were many. You have a very soft and comforting quality to your voice, and I enjoy hearing you sing. Watch out for the belting, as you tend to lose the melody in parts. But I thought overall this was a very good rendition and I look forward to hearing more from you.

Carlos - I like your voice a lot. It can be strong and commanding, as well as soft and tender (like in the last 20 seconds). This was a good performance, but I'm not sure if this song fits you. The softer parts were great, but the chorus towards the end seemed a little choppy and stiff. My future song suggestions for you would be: Underneath the Stars, Always Be My Baby, and Forever.

Dzulfadzly - I thought this was a very good rendition. But changing octives throughout the song made the performance a little uneven for me. But you are a great singer and I'm a fan.

Kara - Good for you for picking a somewhat obsure MC song. I'm not sure if this song best showcases your voice, as the backups can be a little distracting. There wasn't much singing in the last 30 seconds, too. But nice job overall.

Petr - You have an incredible voice, and I'd be surprised your voice doesn't take you somewhere. I liked your cover of Reflections a lot. The harmonies were really nice and sound so polished.

Petya - You have a really sweet voice. Nice vibrato. Mariah would be proud of your rendition of Reflections. My only gripe is the quality of your physical recordings. It sounds like your so far away. :(

Rocky - I like how you go out on a limb with your covers. This is definitely the most unique MC cover I've ever heard, it's almost reggae-like in pacing. I'm not sure how far you'll get in this competition, but keep reinventing yourself. I like it!

Varun - I think this song is a little out of your comfortable range, as it sounds like you're relying a lot on your falsetto, which should be used sparingly. Some notes came out a little thin in parts, too. But I like the emotive quality of your voice. I'm looking forward to your other songs. Thanks for sharing.

  • Petya - 15 years ago

TO N: Okay, you are entitled to your opinion, you like that, you don`t like that, but I really don`t think u have the right to insult people`s work that way. Everyone has put something into these songs, and to call a song " a horrible disaster", what gives you the right to do that? Can`t you just say u don`t like it and don`t vote for it? Why do you have to insult? I don`t think this is the purpose of this whole thing. This contest is supposed to be something good. It really makes me mad seeing people insulting! If you are so big, go and sing it better yourself. If you can`t, then at least don`t insult other people. None of us is trying to be Mariah, we are just doing this bc we love Mariah. People like you want to turn it into some vicious comment war where some people are constantly insulted. I`m sorry, this is NOT why I wanted to be a part of this. People are here bc they love Mariah, not to hurt other people`s feelings with no reason at all when all they can do is just say they don`t like it.

  • Ahmed - 15 years ago

Omg, Abed is amazing... this is ridiculous. Go Abed, you got my votes!!

  • Glauber Whatever - 15 years ago

Rock is the more original od then all! But Abed is my favoruite this week... I like of Kara too!

  • KC - 15 years ago

Okay this week was Abed. He nailed this song Never to FAr, love it...i was really impressed. Last week was Rocky, this time around, he didnt do a very good job. Didnt particulary like to style of how he sang the song Lead the way. It sounded really annoying to listen too...i didnt even finish it.

Abed keeps bringing those vocals every week, Anything you need a friend, and now Never to Far.

  • N - 15 years ago

My shock: how can the judges select this bunch of people - The Malaysian guy sounded too powerless to blow NEVER TOO FAR (I can't be bothered to listen to his whole song); the Lead the Way is a techno disaster (it's supposed to be a sad song but the music is kinda playful); The notes in Through the Rain were way too FLAT (and it sounded that the singer is focusing to do all these notes and neglect the emotional appreciation of the song - uninspirational and plain); Bye Bye is another terrible disaster - poor recording, vague sound; Reflections are too plain, emotionless; weak; too much breathy sound from Varun in INdia. THE ONLY SINGER I KINDA LOOK UP TO IS KARA HESS - SHE SOUNDS ORIGINAL AND STRONG VOCALLY.

  • Hussein - 15 years ago

Dzulfasly & Petr all the way

  • Ilias - 15 years ago

    Abed Elamrani

  • Eureka - 15 years ago

Rocky Heron killed the competition this round. The creativity and skill was a nice surprise. Abed Elamrani sounded pretty great as well and Kara Hess had a great arrangement of vocals and delivery.

  • Nuno Martins - 15 years ago

From what I herad from the other singers, im my opinion Carlos did a little better. He needs to work the english. He has a nice voice probably when he sings his own music he will be much better. Keep on going Carlos, you did great.

  • Wataneshi - 15 years ago

I vote for Petr Lansky, Dzulfadzly & Rocky. The final 3 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • david - 15 years ago

Kara Hess u know what i love the song "You Got Me from charmbarcelte album 1 mariah best work i just i vote for u becuse u try 2 sing this very diffculte 2 sing i love the end mariah high note u are good singer 2 sorry for my english i am german sepeker mariahforever

  • david - 15 years ago

omg i love his voice that perfect by the way never 2 far 1 my favorite mariah song go boy u get great voice

  • Nate - 15 years ago

Half agree with MariahFan. Some have better emotion compared to those with "technology" even thou they do 1 take . But Amber still won't get my vote. Petya will get my vote. Arun, mmm not getting my vote. So do Abed ! He wont get my vote. His voice is sharp at so many places & it's killing me. Carlos very normal, Dzulfaszly is super, Kara is amazing, Peter not bad & Rocky rock it ! Great performance guys!!!! Keep it up xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoox

Abed, man you are too professional to be singing someone else's songs (no offense), get out there, find a label, man you could easily fill a gap in the music industry today, your high tone is just awesome, and it takes me back to the 70s and 80s the era of real music.

Why dont you like those 3, they probably dont have snazzy sound systems like the rest and went with 1 take songs and tried to put everything into it. Listen to the emotion in the voice instead of expecting crystal vocals..unless its some of the contestants who r using autotune and even trying through different takes.

ABED uses alot of Auto tune, I bet he can't sing like that live. I think Rocky Heron is the best..he has the best diction, and the most creativity, he's more of an artist himself than a wanabe.

Hello, he made it to the top 9 because 3 of them decided not to continue. lol....
I love Kara! Her voice is very similar to Katharine McPhee... very charming

Wowowowowowo.. that Malaysian guy made it to Top 9 ! Yayyy ! His Never Too Far is very different and unexpected. Its like a new version of this song.. I had to listen for 2 times to get use to it wowowowowowoow & I love it............................. muahhhhhhhhssssssssss.......... & my other fav is Rocky Heron... very unique & classic. They both don't sound like try becoming mariah. Perfection with own trademark!

Abed Elamrani is by far my fave! He really made the song his own! He has great tone and he can hit those high notes so well! I can tell he has autotune one there but hey Mariah uses that to which lets you know this is a very proffesional recording which he put alot of time into to make sure he was the best! If he made a cd a Mariah covers I would def have to buy it! I looove his ballads! Next week I hope he does For the record!
