Most likely I'd buy the sale tie but first I would try to find it elsewhere to average the value of the tie. On a tie its hard to do but if it were electronics or something more "branded" it would be easy to do the research.
I personally am not fond of red being the font for the SALE text. It immediate hits me as "lesser quality" rather than just a good markdown or value.. ....maybe it's the word SALE along with the color that's doing it. I love red and use it a lot elsewhere. Just an immediate impression for some reason. I kind of like the word "SPECIAL"
