Our country is based on Christianity. I can understand that we need to respect everyone's beliefs ond cultures, but other people also need to respect ours. I am a firm believer in GOD, and I am not going to change my beliefs or traditions for anyone. I feel everyone expects christians to take a back seat, but the way the world is today, it is time for all of us, Christians to band together and fight for what we believe in and that's GOD! Christmas is a celebration of the birth of our Christ and Savior and as time goes on people wants us to forget about that. I am not going to forget, cause Christians have a say too.
Christmas trees are a traditional decoration for Christmas. Regardless of what religion you practice. If it has been traditional to erect christmas trees in the libraries then the tradition shoud continue.
I have NEVER been ashamed of my Alma Mata until NOW! Granted, I am Christian but I would feel the same if a Jewish or Moslem celebration were banned. Moslem’s and Jews believe Jesus was a Holy man even though they do not see him as the Messiah! My God, forgive our unbelievable stupidity!
It is mindbloggling to me how these library officials try to change the culture of our state, by changing one of the ways we celebrate Christmas. These people are public servants......we, the citizens, pay their salary.
They should not be allowed to get away with this kind of "in our face" action.
Read the poll and put decorations up Michelak!!!
The next time I am asked for money, my answer will be "NO...Get it from Michelak and the rest of the 12%."
