What should we be pushing major companies to consider for packaging?

Non-Recyclable: Dumps are great storage of resources for future generations.

Recyclable: There is such a huge market for waste plastic and paper these days.

Biodegradable: If there is enough corn for people and ethanol, why not packaging too?

Zero Waste: most packaging is for the convenience of the store and for marketing-get rid of it.
