After watching all of the audition videos and thinking for a long time, I have come up with the conclusion that Keeping it Alive is the best band, with the best guitarist and vocal power. Concrete is okay, however they need to work on their basic skills more before they can become an excellent band. Good luck to every one!

woah guys, i appreciate all the people that are sticking up for my band and everything, but it shouldnt be that competitive. There might be bands that get all their friends to vote for them, but when it comes to the real stage the best man is obviously going to win. ABOUT THE NEW GUITAR PLAYER:

Like said above, You do need to have them in the video. All i can say is, you probably should make a video again, because if the new guitarist isnt in the video it will not work. I highly doubt the guy is better than me because none of you besides my drummer has seen me at my best. Honest to god, im left handed and my wrist on my left hand is alot faster. I have speedy fingers and can sweep pick like nothing. Does this new guitar player that is not in the video have a youtube channel or a video source that i can see him on? If so let me know. Otherwise dont disrespect me and my band. That solo was not meant to be good.

And by the way, you should think about volunteering for the Special Olympics. It's a great event that does a lot of good for a lot of kids. I have volunteered, and all of the Special Olympians are really awesome. Volunteer, you might learn something.

I think Mimi is pretty good, and Ashley and Molly aren;t great singers, but I like how it's choreographed (at least the practiced!). All of the bands and singers who performed at the UMALL sounded much better than the audio they have on here makes it seem. The audience was halfway connected as many people were roaming shoppers, which made it a more difficult environment as well.

It's true that it is just our stage presence, and that's hard to show in 30-seconds, but we were just trying to give an idea of it. We are not acting tough, we are just having fun, and that is ok. Then Meghan had a fundraiser for hurricane relief at her house in September and we played at it. She played solo and we wanted her to join our band. So we haven't all been practicing together for a long time. We do the best we can because school is so busy. But, just remember. Concrete loves to ROCK. And we just like to play for fun cuz we love the music.

This happened last year too. The vote totals only count 25%, they don't tell you this because they want to sell advertising by having so many voters visiting the site.

I think that the contestants that are bashing each other on line could be spending their free time practicing just in case the Voting Committee who is selecting the 12 chooses them. And, also as for the "cheating" comments; the On-line voting is located on the Burlington Free Press web page. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe this is the largest newspaper in the state of Vermont. Is it possible that the votes are coming from readers of this newspaper?

I am happy to hear that the voting only counts 25% if that is true. And Insight, the real Insight that is, I could tell from reading that you were only trying to be nice and you weren't ripping on anybody.

If all the votes were coming from readers of the newspapers, I really doubt there would be time periods of maybe two hours where one act just happened to get 400 votes. It is really statistically impossible that one performer would get that many in a short period of time, and others would get just about none if this was really on the level. People have figured out a way to cheat, plain and simple. I was just glad to read that at least one kid said it wasn't worth it to him to cheat to be in the show.

I have a science quiz tomorrow, have to go to bed. I really want 2 play at First Night but it really isn't worth it 2 me to be fake 2 do that. Hopefully Danny is right. This method of determination leaves quite a bit to be desired. It's obviously flawed and inaccurate. For the last week, I have sat back and read the comments and watched the poll numbers increase at amazing rates. I have received phone calls from people about advertising on Craigs List for their support, going to wireless connections all over and computer labs at school. One contestant had 116 votes in the morning and 1116 in the afternoon. Is it coincidence that she received exactly 1000 votes in less than 8 hours. I suspect not but maybe. Yes, I think the voting is a fun thing to do but when you read the comments, both constructive and down right mean-hearted, is this what we want our young people to learn. Competition is good for kids. It gives them incentive and ambition to want to succeed. However, where does the good sportsmanship come into play. It is very sad to see that there is a lot of that lacking in a lot of these comments. I wish all the contestants good luck and all of them seem to be very talented. I am also glad to hear that the voting is not the sole basis of which kids get into the show.

I saw Veronica and Audry live at the Univeristy Mall in Burlington, and they were so incredibly good it was so stunning to me I cried. Much better than the video's online make them seem. I told all of my friends, but when I went online to vote I noticed that they were in 8th place and 15th place. This didn't seem fair considering how good they are. It seems to me like it would be much tougher for an individual to get votes against a band, and if the voting were based on talent these girls would be so much higher. So I told my husband who is best childhood friends with the Quartermaster of an Amry corps ... He has 50,000 emails at the tip of his fingers.

I think Veronica is the best act, and Audry is very good. I think this is how the system goes, and not really cheating at all. Neither girl knows who or how they got these votes. I think the people in the Memorial Auditorium (including me) will love to see them perform. My bet is that given the chance Veronica will win, and that Audry would be super.

I plan on continuing to work to find them votes ... sorry for the hard feelings, good luck everybody.

Hey Everybody, I would just like to let everybody know that no matter what happens, everybody here is a a fantastic musician. Music comes in all different sounds and types, and I think its important that each one is recognized. After watching all the videos, I consider myself lucky to be competing against such talented people. Its needless to say that no matter what happens, not matter who is selected for the top 12, no matter who wins this entire competition, everybody comes away from this with something good whether its meeting a new musician friend, to hearing a new or original song. From these experiences we become better musicians and over all, better people. For this I thank you all. No matter what it comes down to, remember this: the music is what really matters the most.
