Why does every democrat indicted (and MOST are found GUILTY) scream politicical revenge in this state???? Furthermore, same question, but every person not white screams racism?? How about working for the people, honestly and deligently! That is all that we expect.

When you report the ties these men have to the Democratic Party, please also report that Alice Martin and here lieutenants are Republican appointees (who by the way will be out in January).

It is also interesting to note that Alice's press conference was called at the same time as President Elect Obama's press conference to announce his most recent appointees. I wonder why?

Langford has always loved spending our money and money he does not have.
He is a pipe dreamer.
If found guilty, he should be sent to prison. One were he has a real job.

It's about time this lying thief and his cronies serve time. How someone with borrowed teeth and clothing got elected as someone trustworthy is beyond me.

Langford is going to jail, no doubt about it. If he can afford it, his lawyers can keep him out of jail for the remainder of his term in office. My guess is that Langford doesn't have the kind of money needed to keep the legal process churning for that long. Langford and his most ambitious political plans are done. Probably for the best. City can't possibly afford such a profligate spender during the coming economic depression. We need a ruthless manager that can cut to the bone and run the city with minimal resources.

The office has been corrupt going back to Arrington, until someone holds all those bozo's accountable, it will always be corrupt. Maybe we need better choices to run for mayor, someone who has not bankrupt a Vision Land or stuffed pockets with taxpayers dollars. Guilty as charged!

I think Smoot and Collins will be next.

There are Democratic crooks and Republican crooks. When you sell your office you have sunken into the cesspool of the limited number of lying thievery politicians who sell their office for personal gain. Law enforcement officers can only go fishing in the pool. They catch whatever takes the bite. Democratic, Republican, who cares. If you are honest it will not affect you regardless of your political persuasion.

I can't believe he has been stealing and deceiving for so long and still be voted in to be mayor of Birmingham! It really makes us all question the education and awareness level of the registered voters in this city. And who cares about how happy he is with the support he's gotten? He's not the victim here. We are!! He may have some of the people fooled, but not all of the people. Hopefully this is the final nail in his political coffin and we won't hear from him again after he is found guilty on all charges. May justice prevail!!
