The Vanilla Gorilla cant be stopped! He's on fire this season! Pryzbilla is a warrior, man! He's a lot more of a presence than Oden is right now. Oden, while promising, has yet to show himself in full stride. Surely he'll be great, but how great? We have yet to see.

For now, The Vanilla Gorilla is King of the Jungle!

It looks like Oden has a lot of future promise and he is huge in the middle. But Joel just keeps quiet, does his job day in and day out, and most important... he doesn't get hurt. Nothing against Oden, but he seems a bit more prone to injury than Joel. I'd compare it to the Fararri that is faster and stronger (Oden) versus the Buick (Joel) that doesn't break down. If I were the coach, to be honest, I'd like to have both in my garage.

Personally,I think Joel has outplayed him every single time on the court.
Portland doesn't even look as good when Greg is on the court..I can't put my finger on it..but it seems like the quickness has just been sucked out of the building when Greg is out there..
    He looks so clumsy..

Your wrong about him coming off the bench Scott. Oden needs to learn to play with the starters if you want him to be valuable in the playoff and future in general.

The question of value is what would other teams give up to get a player. Oden wins this test 5 to 1.

GO will not even be 100% in the legs until next year. Then we will see more lift and more blocks.

Anyone else notice he has very nice touch for his size? Shaq and D. Howard are 50% FT shooters. Greg could be an 80% guy. (that's what you need to win in the 4th)

Przy is the better player right now, but the threat of Oden is significant. He was better coming off the bench, and probably should still be with the second unit as he learns the game. As time goes on, Oden will develop better offensive skills than Przy.

Pryz is the man and GO is the future if he stays healthy. Joel will teach Greg and help him acclimate into the NBA. Greg is young, smart, strong, and athletic, he will give Joel a longer life in the NBA by playing less minutes and still hopefully be a Trailblazer for many years!
    Go Blazers!!!!

This is a really nasty poll.
Why a not an option (C) - "They are both equally as valuable".
How about a poll about who should start?
    This is manipulative and calculated.
Have fun with your media games.

A security's value is the PV of all future cash flows; as is Greg Oden's.

This opinion requires an asterisk... because at present, Pryzbilla is contributing a lot more and for the moment his value to the team is higher than Oden's. Oden is learning to play at this level and is going through his growing pains. By the middle of next season though, I think Oden will be a pretty consistent 15 point, 12 rebound, 3 block/game player... Once he adds a jumper and some more post moves he could be much more effective on the offensive end too... so really, I think Oden and Pryzbilla are actually about equal in terms of value at the moment. Pryzbilla is our force in the middle presently, and Oden's got next.
