John Mirasty no doubt is a fighter. But I think with Kevin Harveys play, if he had been with us from the begining of the season, he would be the scrappiest player of the year. *Just my opinion*
true dat
Jon Mirasty is a fighter, which in my opinion is different from scrappy. To me scrappy players do all the little things to get a win, from bangin in the corners to fighting AND scoring goals. My vote is Trevor Frischmon, especially of late.
Alexandre Picard is a scrapper. He takes elbows, sticks, and pucks and keeps on fighting for that puck. Mirasty is a fighter, but Picard gives 150% fighting for the puck.
I agree that there is a difference between an enforcer who is a fighter and a player who does what it takes to get the job done. Consistently, Dan Smith has given it his all on he ice. It's not flashy and he doesn't put up the numbers. However, Smitty is invaluable sacrificing himself to block shots and keep opponents from getting a good look. He's swept quite a few out of the crease off the rebound as well. His work on the PPK is tenacious. Dan gets my vote for Scrappiest Player.
