Would you ever sell your gold this way?

We did much better by selling our gold to a trusted and reputable jeweler than what my friends and I were offered for our jewelry at a similar gold party. The scale that the hostess used was inaccurate and she didnt seem to be very experienced. Our jeweler even purchased some of our items for much more than scrap price, and they pay cash on the spot, no checks like at those parties.

I agree with you. Our gold party hostess was an out of a job real estate lady who knew nothing about gold or jewelry. we almost fell for it, but we heard of William and Kenneth Fine Jewelry in Randolph, so those guys paid us alot more and thier store is an upscale boutique. They pay in cash also.
