I am extremely happy about my life and the election results except for Amendment 2 in FL.

Sure, I am happy that Obama won the presidency, but as with papa bear, I am saddened by the fact that all of the ballot measures for equal rights seem to have been lost. America is now for Americans, unless they are homosexual, then they only get some of it.

I'm in the UK so I'm just generally happy with the outcome. However I'm very aware that the US has a huge uphill battle to reduce it's carbon footprint, to cope with Peak Oil and Climate Change, and to attempt to get out of their various foreign conflicts without further loss of life....

Obama has landed one of the most difficult jobs in the world. Good luck to him and all who are working alongside him.

I am from CA, and am greatful that Obama won, but Prop 8 is passing, and boy that is sad..

For some reason Prop 8 passing is trumping Obama win (a historic moment)
    with me....

I am content! We prayed that the Lord's will would be done regardless of the outcome and now it is time to pray for Obama and God's direction of his leadership.

The new president being an African American is thrilling. Intelligence returning is remarkable and hopefully the grassroots can pull the policies away from the Corporate positions the campaign embraced.

But, the passing of California Propositon Hate (8) and my local city council thugs re-elections have proven again the power of big money and bigotry.

I'm not an American, but I'm relieved that America has voted for a responsible policy in nearly every issue that matters. Not in the least in the long-overdue discussion on regenerative energy resources. Good on you, lads & ladies!
