Get rid of it. The state budget is bloated with unecessary, wasteful programs and this is the only way to get lawmakers to trim the fat.
I don't like paying taxes anymore than the next guy, but killing the income tax would force lawmakers to slash vital programs and lay off workers. Plus towns would have to raise property taxes.
Huh? There's a ballot question about the property tax?
I don't really care, to be perfectly honest. I'm just going to show up and vote for McCain/Obama/Nader.
