I don't see any substative Sino-Tibetan dialogue ever since it got started few years ago. China never wanted to have any dialogue with us in the first place. Only when the European parliment pressured China into having dialoge with TGIE, did it relent into having a micky-mouse dialogue for the sake of having one, to soothe the Europeans who had implied that they might have to entertain the issue of Tibet's political status, etc. It's a waste of our resource in light of the fact that all we're getting in return are scolding and H.H. bashing. Let's not kid ourselves. So, far we've been going up the down escalator (if I may borrow a term from Margret Thatcher).
As for the 2009 elections, I'm lost as to whether you refering to the Kalon election or whatever. I don't know notwithstanding the fact that I do my best to keep abreast of all gloval current affairs with spcial interest on China and Tibet. I find it presumptuous of the pollster for not specifying the nature of the election.
I'm sorry this is my comment for the previous question on Sino-Tibetan dialogue and realistic chance of acquiring a solution. Please adgust accordingly.
