Can Mark Wahlberg Act?

Had to vote 'No' after watching the sheer awfulness that is 'The Happening'. I've seen better acting in my sucktastic drama class. If Wahlberg was told to act completely wooden in order to support some zany B-movie vision of MNS's, then he really needs to speak up. I kinda think that this must be the case b/c ALL the acting in this movie sucked from Zooey right down to Hotdog dude.

Ever have a bad day at the office? Ever commit to something that looked good initially, but that your heart ultimately wasn't in? Ever get matched with a mentor/leader/manager who just didn't encourage you or direct you to reach your potential? He can act; many solid actors have a "dog" performance they'd rather forget.

The maqn cannot act unless it is in an action role. Ask him to play Max Payne and his performance is great, ask him to play Max the Architect whose wife is cheating on him, and he hits a brick wall.

And I'm still pissed that I had to sit through The Happening. I wished that a "Happening" would happen to me so that I wouldn't have to watch the whole thing.

I thought he could until I rented "The Happening". Nuff said.
