i consider myself a passionate amateur of alpine mountaineering. my experience is mostly alpine mountaineering with an emphasis on climbs above 6,000m. i started climbing at age 38 with mont blanc being my first high peak. i caught the fever and gained experience while learning new skills in Alaska, on Rainier, the Tetons and my Colorado 14ers. i went on to climb on Everest, cho oyu, broad peak, aconcagua, denali and others. more on my website.
