HawaiiReporter.com, an online news journal founded in February 2002, is based in Honolulu. The publication, established by two Hawaii journalists, Malia Zimmerman and Jay McWilliams, focuses on news related to business, government, education and politics. Though largely local content, Hawaii Reporter also publishes stories on national and international issues and events. Hawaii Reporter also closely covers legislation at the Hawaii State Capitol.
